The ultimate job seeker resource! CDI’s Supercharge Your Job Search is a free, 75-page e-book packed with top advice from 49 global experts including award-winning, certified career coaches and resume writers.
This 33-page report is the product of a global survey to focused on clearing up confusion and inconsistencies about what recruiters, human resource professionals, and other hiring authorities are looking for when it comes to resume writing and related job search documents.
The secondary goal was to gather data on the adoption of new trends used by job seekers and resume writers, such as use of QR codes, video resumes, 1-page executive resumes, charts and graphs, and optimizing cover letters for smart phone review.
CDI has assembled more expert resources with audio and video channels. They cover a wide variety of topics in 1-3 minute easily digestible segments as well as full-length how-to programs.
CDI is continuously developing public awareness efforts to educate job seekers about the importance of a strategic job search and resume campaign. Two international events have been launched, both officially registered in Chase's Calendar of Events.
With these initiatives, CDI encourages career professionals and other helping organizations worldwide to educate job seekers through free educational resources such as webinars, workshops, resume critiques, teleseminars, and published articles/blog posts. In 2000, CDI proclaimed September the official “Update Your Resume Month”. September is the perfect time to start a new approach to career care-taking. While children are embarking on starting the new school year, adults should also be taking stock of their professional attributes and career value by updating their resumes. By declaring September as the official update month, people will have the opportunity to better control and champion their own futures.
International Update Your References Week, is CDI’s officially designated event that takes place each year during the first full week of May.This event was created due to the importance of job seekers learning to maintain a network of warm contacts and references, in order to assist them in career change, employment, and growth.
