I get it — you’re super busy or you’re super panicked. You don’t have TIME to come cozy up to your fellow resume writers and career coaches in a virtual member networking lunch.
I’d argue that you can’t afford to not take the time to attend, even if business has never been better!
I’m not going to get all rah-rah on you here, but I really can’t encourage you enough to drop everything and attend this virtual networking lunch.
Here are some outcomes I’ve seen taking place from those who attend:
#1 – You find a subcontractor, referral source, or subbing opportunity.
#2 – You make a vital connection in the industry who becomes your friend, supporter, mentor/mentee, partner or accountability partner.
#3 – You get out of your head and any paralysis fear you might have over what you think things happening in your business or the world must mean for the future.
#4 – You meet someone with a different POV, skillset or fresh ideas that introduces you to something that motivates and inspires you and/or enhances your work/value and even rates.
#5 – You directly connect with an industry leader you might not have had direct access to otherwise.
#6 – You get a well-needed opportunity to revitalize and nourish yourself.
#7 – You gain a future engagement with CDI to present to your peers once Laura meets you and hears about your skillset. Conversely, Laura learns what members like you are needing most in future programming through this interaction.
#8 – You get to have fun at the virtual water cooler, which is well-needed when you work in isolation.
+
#9 – You help grow the number of members attending, which in turn helps ensure these events are a success for you and can continue to happen.
#10 – You attend at no-cost since CDI live events are still included in your low membership rate.
Look, you’ve probably heard it said — we are as successful as those who we surround ourselves with!
Today, more than ever, we need each other.
There is massive polarity taking place right now in that I’m constantly seeing posts and messages that career pros are either panicking due to a slow down in business or they are scrambling for support and trying to avoid burnout because their business has never been better.
What this tells me is that there is room for everyone and that we deeply need each other, regardless of which end each of us is currently finding ourselves at. Growth, change and opportunity aren’t found in a vacuum.
So, sign up and show up for the next member networking lunch!
