Did you know that you can, and should, include a cover letter with your client’s federal application package? It’s true. Just like a private sector resume, you should include a cover letter with your federal resume package.

So what do you include in your cover letter? Of course you should include the vacancy announcement number, the position title, your client’s name and contact information, and social security number. Next you can create a letter that will get you the best results and add personal information that is relevant, but has no place on your client’s resume.
