Convincing a Reporter Your Story is Worthy

Just recently I had to plead my case to a reporter that a 4-week old story was still news that would be important to his readers. He was absolutely right to tell me when I called him, “That’s old news and we’re not interested.” As a former news producer, I knew that, and had to quickly change my angle to change his mind.
