Beliefs are frequently unconscious – formed when we were young by something a trusted friend, authority figure, or family member has said. Some, like the one on checking email, might not seem like it comes from beliefs but it does – there’s always an underlying message such as, “The early bird gets the worm” or “You won’t succeed without hard work”.
