As a resume writer, I partner with my clients to create resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and other tools to help them achieve their career goals. Officially I have been writing and critiquing resumes for more than 30 years, learning those skills in my role at the career development office when I was a student at Cornell. For many years, I was the "go-to" person for friends and family whenever someone was looking for a job. And I have a very big family! In 2018, I launched The Write Resumes and in the last few years, my business has grown significantly from referrals. In that time, I have earned two resume writing certifications including the NCRW, making me one of 65 people in US/Canada with the certification and the CPRW. Currently, I am pursuing a certification in Federal resumes. My clients span from C-suite to college students and work in a broad range of industries. Personally, I was a military spouse for 16 years and I enjoy working with service members as they transition out of the military and into a successful civilian career. I was also a stay-at-home mom for more than 12 years and have a passion for helping people return to the workforce after a long break. In addition to writing resumes, I am a professional communicator with skills in corporate communications, executive communications, nonprofit communications, and social media engagement.
