We’re glad you logged in! Here are your next steps to getting the most out of your membership.
1. Never Login Again
- If you click the “remember me” checkbox when you login, you will never have to remember your password again on that device! It will not time out and you will stay perpetually logged in!
- Another option is to log in using your LinkedIn or Facebook account. If you want to unlink your social account, you can do that on the My Accounts page.
When an email hits your inbox about a lesson or a new forum post, you can click the link in the email and it will take you directly article or forum post.
2. Join the Member Forum
Did you know that you can get answers to your questions from fellow members? That you can learn about sub-contracting opportunities? CDI offers six member forums, which include: resume writing, business, career services/coaching, LinkedIn profiles, and subcontracting.
You can access the forum from the menu bar above. There are instructions for subscribing to the various forums. When you subscribe, questions and answers show up directly in your email inbox. To participate, just click the link in the email and you’ll be taken directly to the thread (as long as you’ve enabled perpetual login).
3. Help Job Seekers Find You
CDI has a very robust Find a Career Pro database. Build your public member profile so that members and job seekers can easily find you. If you do not do this, you WILL NOT BE LISTED in the member directory!
Be sure to include a great head shot and create a profile that sells you.
4. Keep Lessons at Your Fingertips
Don’t have time to read a lesson that just popped up in your email? Just click on over to it from the email and at the top you will see the option to add it to your reading list. Then, when you need to access it or have the time to read it, you can click on My Bookmarks and find it in your reading list.
5. Join the Facebook Group
Our private Facebook Group, Career Directors International – $100K Success for Resume Writers & Coaches, provides additional opportunities for networking, support, camaraderie, and sharing of resources.
When requesting membership, please be sure to use a personal profile and not a business page (so participants know who they are communicating with). Also, if you are using a different name on Facebook than on CDI, please send an email to email@example.com and let us know what to look for.
6. Grab the Tools We Know You Need
