Rules & Guidelines for Communities

CDI communities are considered to be all private and public discussion sites run on the CDI website and through CDI as hosted on third party sites. These include, but are not limited to, blogs, forums, discussion groups/elists, and other communities.  By using any of these sites you acknowledge and agree to the following mandatory terms and conditions.

Rules, Guidelines, and Etiquette

Following are the rules and etiquette required to participate in CDI communities and ensure everyone has a fun, safe, and rewarding experience. By subscribing to and/or participating, users hereby agree to be bound by and warrant their full compliance with the following terms of participation.

CDI does reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership to any community for individuals who violate rules and guidelines, as well as remove any posting or statement or comment by me on this site. which CDI deems in its discretion to be either offensive, libelous, disparaging, disrespectful , and, or contrary to CDI’s policies

Keep messages/posts to the topic of that section.

Be sure to pick the best section/list for your message/post. Others may be deleted, or when moderated, not posted.

Keep it friendly and conversational. Defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. CDI has a zero tolerance policy for flaming.

Keep posts, responses, and comments positive — the communties are there for your help and support but are not a conduit for complaining, ranting, whining, gossiping, or too much personal information (that could be embarrassing to you or others). Explain your challenge concisely so that reviewers can identify the question quickly and easily, which will better guarantee responses. When responding to such posts, if your answer might seem defamatory toward a person, company, or product, then please send it privately to the individual and not to the elist, forum, or group. Messages/posts deemed as potentially defamatory or libelous cannot be allowed on the elists. These DO include PITA posts about clients and prospects.

DO NOT post commercial messages and advertisements. If you believe a person would have interest for your product or service based on their question, contact him/her privately.

Review all responses to a topic before creating your post to avoid repetition and redundancy. Multiple ‘same’ response posts will not be posted to minimize mail in member inboxes.

Avoid posting responses such as “thanks for the information” or “me, too” to the elist, forum, or group as it just creates clutter. If you are going to post be sure it adds value to the conversation.

When sending job / referral opportunity or sub-contractor-type announcements, please include your email address or point of contact in the email and ask for private responses. With the elists, note also that messages stating something to the effect of “the opportunity has been filled” will not be approved.

When responding to job / referral opportunity or sub-contractor type announcements, please respond to the individual who has posted the request directly.

Include a signature tag on all messages which includes, at minimum, your full name.

Pay close attention to all items listed in the disclaimer and legal rules below as information posted in communities may be publicly visible, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.

Do not post administrative messages, such as “remove me from the elist or group” to forums or discussions. If you cannot figure out how to remove yourself, contact CDI at info@nullcareerdirectors.com.

Maintain CDI membership to avoid cancellation in private communities.
