Frequently Asked
Questions
WILL THE FORMAT OF MY RESUMES BE
ALTERED?
No. ResumeMaker has made arrangements to
include the content of your resume, with it's unique style in tact. In
special cases, the ResumeMaker team will contact you if they need to
change either the content or style of the resumes you submit.
WILL ANY CONTENT OF MY SAMPLES RESUMES
BE INCLUDED IN OTHER SECTIONS OF THE SOFTWARE?
From time to time, the ResumeMaker team
reviews sample resumes for popular phrases to be included in other
sections of the software, such as "Sample Phrases". You may opt-out of
this practice by checking the appropriate box above.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM / MAXIMUM
REQUIREMENTS?
The minimum number of resumes we need to
from each writer is ten (10) samples (either resumes, cover letters or
articles) and the maximum has been set at one hundred (100).
SHOULD I ZIP MY RESUMES / LETTERS?
If you know how to create a zip file,
then please do so. Otherwise, you may send documents in batches of no
more than twenty-five (25) documents per email.
DO I NEED TO FICTIONALIZE?
Fictionalizing your resumes is no longer
necessary because this will be done by the ResumeMaker team. However,
this is still a good idea, but please be sure to use "nondescript" names
which might appear to be real, not ones that are obviously fake.
>>> GOOD: "Drew Sterling" vs. BAD:
"Superman".
>>> GOOD: "Watson Consulting" vs. BAD:
"XYZ Company"
SHOULD I INCLUDE MY CONTACT
INFORMATION?
We tag each of your documents that appear
in the software with the information that you provide. Where possible,
we also establish direct links to your websites and email address to
make it easier for our job seekers to contact you. If you do not want to
be contacted, then you do not need to include your contact information
and we will refer these job seekers to the general Career Directors
website.
WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE?
We are not currently accepting
submissions.
