CDI Elist / Discussion Board
The CDI Discussion Board, known as the e-group, enjoys a tremendous popularity with our members around the world. The e-group provides members with access to an unlimited resource of advice, suggestions, resources and support for providing and managing assorted career services as well as day-to-day life. It's a great way for members to ask questions and compare notes with colleagues.

CDI members can go anytime (24 hours a day/7 days a week) to participate in dialogues about everything. Whether it is advice on what type of printer to purchase, what English to use in a Singaporean resume, what to charge for a new service or how to deal with a difficult client, the Egroup is the communication vehicle used for this dialogue.

All members are registered when they join so subscribing should not be required.

Please read the mandatory rules and etiquette below before participating!

CDI Elist Rules & Etiquette

Welcome to CDI’s elist. Following are the rules and etiquette required to participate in the list and ensure everyone has a fun, safe, and rewarding experience. By subscribing to and participating in this elist, users hereby agree to be bound by and warrant their full compliance with the following terms of participation.

CDI does reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership to the elist for members who violate rules and guidelines.

Rules & Guidelines

  • Keep topics to association-related topics (career, business, and client services).
  • Keep it friendly and conversational. Defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. CDI has a zero tolerance policy for flaming.
  • Avoid posting commercial messages and advertisements. If you believe a person would have interest for your product or service, contact him/her privately off-list.
  • Pay close attention to all items listed in the disclaimer and legal rules below as information posted on the lists is available to all registered members, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.
  • Remember that CDI and other elist participants have the right to reproduce postings to this elist with proper attribution.

Elist Etiquette

  • Include a signature tag on all messages which includes, at minimum, your full name.
  • Create clear and concise subject lines that effectively convey your topic.
  • Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information that everyone can benefit from. Send messages such as "thanks for the information" or "me, too" to individuals--not to the entire list. Do this by using your e-mail application's forwarding option and typing in or cutting and pasting in the e-mail address of the individual to whom you want to respond.
  • Do not send administrative messages, such as “remove me from the list” through the elist. Instead, contact CDI at info@careerdirectors.com or visit http://groups.google.com/group/cdichat.
